Can you move pokemon from other pokemon games to black and white versions?

Just wondering cuz I think it could be a huge advantage to have the pokemon from older games ok he de|||you can move them using the pokeshifter (it's in the game) but you can not trade items or trade back. Kind of like pal park except no items.|||Yes, you can transfer the 4th gen games to Pokemon Black and White, but you can't move any from 1st Gen-3rd Gen. For 3rd Gen you have to transfer them to 4th Gen first, then 4th Gen to Black/White (also known as 5th Gen).|||You cannot move pokemon from the older games, until you obtain the miracle shooter, once you have beaten the elite four and have the national dex.|||Yeah but you have to get Nat'l dex.
