Can you transfer pokemon from old GBC to GBA games?

Can you transfer Pokemon from Pokemon games like Yellow, Red, Silver to Pokemon Games like, Ruby , Leaf green and then to Black and White ? Please if so let me know how.

Thanks|||No.

You see when the GBA came out a whole new engine was used. On top of that the hardware was different. So when the 3rd generation came out the games operating software and the formulas for a pokemons stats and stat development were completely revamped. Making the older Gameboy and newer Gameboy advance games totally incompatable. For instance IV's. IV's are a value used to determine stats for individual pokemon and vary between pokemon even of the same species. The system in place which has been in place since 3rd gen is not the same as what was used in 1st and 2nd gen.

The reason why GBA games can work with DS games is because the engine is the same or very similar. They had that in mind. They used the same algorithims when determining pokemon values which is the main issue as well. And odds are if there is a 6th generation it will be compatable with older games as well. But that also has alot to do with for when 3rd gen came out people threw an absolute shitstorm including myself over the lack of connectivity.|||In the Ruby and Sapphire game guide, it had a tutorial on how to transfer up through to ruby/sapphire, but it requires crystal. It worked for me. (I'm assuming alot of people never got the gameguide or this only works for certain games because it worked fine on mine but everyone always says theres no way to transfer; but whatever. It could just be that its alot of trouble to get everything together.)

Basically you need to get the orb from sapphire and the orb from ruby, bring the one from sapphire to ruby and give them both to Bill on one island (the orbs are found in the number islands). You have to trnsfer your pokemon up from red/yellow/gold/ whatever, to crystal and then use the time machine in one of the pokemon centers (dont remember which center) and connect it with ruby's one island transfer machine. For this, you need a GB Advance or SP (or a combination of the two, this doesnt work with GB colors or nintendo DSs) you also need a connection cord or the wireless transmitters from firered/leafgreen. Then its just timing the transfer machines to connect together at the same time and you've got them to ruby.

For the transfer of cartridge games (ruby, sapphire, leafgreen etc) to DS games, you need pearl, platinum or diamond and transfer them up to there. To get them onto Black and White you need two DS systems and once you beat the Pokemon League you will come across a lab with a minigame and scientists that will explain how to transfer from platinum/diamond/pearl to black and white|||Edit: Also in 2nd and 1st Gen, you can EV Train as much as you want, so you can have Pokemon with 999 stats if you wished. In 3rd Gen they changed the system so that Pokemon had unique max and minimum stats, and EV Training was limited.

No. You can't. That's one of the reasons people got mad, they couldn't transfer their precious Pokemon to the 3rd Gen games. It's not possible because it's not possible. The games aren't compatible with each other. The developers couldn't make them compatible so that's that. You can however transfer Pokemon from 3rd Gen to 4th gen, then to Black/White.|||No, because the GBA is a different system to the GBC.|||No sorry. Its not possible, or compatible :(|||No, since it's a whole new different system.
