Pokemon Games?

My cousin wants to play the pokemon games and wants to know what order to play them in.|||You dont have to play them in order, and if you bought them all it would cost a lot sort of. The ones he wants to get Are Pearl or Diamond because those are the most recent versions. If he wanted to he could buy the fire red, leaf green, saphire, ruby or emerald version to import pokemon from those versions to Pearl or Diamond. The order the pokemon games came out in is blue red and yellow, then silver gold and crystal, then Ruby, saphire and emerald, than pearl and diamond if you wanted to know.|||he should just get the new ones and play but is he wants em all in order...

pkmn blue, red

pkmn yellow

pkmn silver, gold

pkmn crystal

pkmn ruby, saphire

pkmn emerald

..........................cant remember the rest!|||I doesn't matter they don't have an order he can play the last ones (diamond and pearl for DS) and get the same experience plus a little extra|||THere is red, blue, yellow, green, gold, silver, cryste鈥?and pearl a few others i cant remember...|||it doesnt matter, the two newest are diamond and pearl. they're basically the same, just there are sum pokemon in one, that isnt in the other, and vise verse. i have diamond tho.|||You can really pick up anywhere in the series, but it depends on the system you have. If you have a Nintendo DS, you want Pearl or Diamond, it doesn't matter which. If you, or your cousin, has a Game Boy Advanced, I would recommend the FireRed or LeafGreen games, as they are simply remakes of the original games. Honestly, all the other hand-held Pokemon games are severely out-dated compared to these. You should only get the others if the series is that enjoyable.

If you wanted to play all the versions, you should skip over the original Red/Blue/Yellow versions and instead play the FireRed/LeafGreen games, although if you just play one you'll get the same experience as both. Then, you could play Silver/Gold/Crystal versions, although you should just get the Crystal version, for it is the most advance in the set. The down-side of these three is they're Game Boy Color games, so they are not compatable with the Nintendo DS. But, wheather you play these or not, next you should play Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, any of them, and then go on to Pearl/Diamond.

Overall, I suggest just playing any of the FireRed/LeafGreen, or the Pearl/Diamond games. But, the order is Red/Blue/Yellow (Or FireRed/LeafGreen), then Silver/Gold/Crystal, then Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, then Pearl/Diamond.|||Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Diamond and Pearl

thats the order that they came out in, he shold probably play them in this order if he has all of the games.|||red/blue:play in the kanto region, the games that started it all

yellow:It is based more on the storyline, start with pikachu and get the three starters while advancing in the game

silver/gold:you get the night/day while playin, its a whole new world in the johto region

ruby/sapphire:in the hoenn region the battle tower is open, and even more pokemon to catch

emerald:your able to get both groudon and saphire, the battle frontier is now available

diamond/pearl: the new sinnoh region, new starters, features, and wifi,a total of 493 pokemon to catch
