HeartGold, Ruby, Diamond, and Pearl). You would need D/P because Diamond has Skuntank and Pearl has Purugly, and they are not available in any other Pokemon games. You would need Ruby to get the Regis, Latios, and Groudon. And last, you would need HeartGold version to get the rest. However, there are some Pokemon that cannot be caught in-game, and you must obtain it in a trade, at an event, downloading it from a spin-off game (Pokemon Ranch, Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Ranger 2, etc.) or downloading a special item over Wi-Fi that allows you to catch the Pokemon in-game. These Pokemon are: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Arceus, Manaphy, Darkrai, and Shaymin (you can include Phione in the list since it can only be obtained by beeding a Ditto with a Manaphy).
